All Tips FAQ

How long will my new kitchen take to make/build and install?

Normal delivery time is five to seven weeks from the receipt of your deposit. This can change depending on the materials selected but confirmation will be given before your kitchen is finalised and the deposit paid, no surprises guaranteed. Installation will typically take two days but again you will be fully informed before the kitchen is finalised.

What are the payment terms? How do I pay?

We require a deposit of 30% of the quoted price at the time of ordering. The balance is due prior to delivery and installation of your fabulous new kitchen. Inspection of your kitchen in our factory prior to delivery and final payment is available.

Is there a finance option?

We can arrange finance for you. Normal lending criteria would apply.

Can you come to me and measure up my new kitchen?

That’s what we do! We enjoy meeting people in their old kitchens, it helps us come up with the very best ideas and designs.

Will the trades people leave my place in a mess?

Only if they are asked to do the baking! Good chefs never clean up after themselves but our installers will leave the kitchen clean and ready for the most discerning chef to use.

Is engineered stone heat resistant?

Engineered Stone will tolerate brief exposures to moderately hot temperatures, however prolonged direct contact with or radiated heat from very hot pots can cause thermal shock, discolouration or damage. Therefore we do not recommend placing hot pots, pans, and oven trays directly from the hotplate or out of an oven onto the surface. We always recommend the use of a hot pad or trivet to place hot items onto.

How much does the consultation cost?

The consultation is free for you! Although it does cost us, so all we ask is that our customers are seriously looking to buy a kitchen at the time of the consultation.

Are you a franchise?

No, we are proud to be a kiwi-family owned and operated business. Our head office, manufacturing plant and first showroom is in Mt Wellington. We opened our Milford showroom in 2016 and our Avondale showroom in 2020. All kitchens sold in our three showrooms are proudly manufactured in our Mt Wellington facility.

Where do your kitchens come from?

Right here in Auckland! We make all our kitchens in our Mt Wellington manufacturing facility - proud to be kiwi made!

Can I bring my plans in to get a quote?

Absolutely! We know it's not always possible to do an in-home consultation, especially when that home isn't built yet! We'll organise for you to sit down in the showroom with one of our designers so they can run through all your wishes for the kitchen project. There are lots of variables when it comes to quoting a kitchen and we've found this to be the most straightforward process for you, and us.

Can you come out to site on the weekend?

Our staff are all busy working in the showrooms on Saturdays and are home with their families on Sunday, but we'll work around your commitments during the week.

I like my current kitchen, I just want to change the colour and bench top. Can you help with this?

At Kitchen Mania we specialise in full kitchen renovations. This means you (or we) remove the old kitchen and we replace it with your brand new kitchen. Depending on the level of work required for your partial renovation, the cost can be 70-80% of a full renovation so reach out if you would like some advice for your project.

How much will my kitchen cost?

What's your budget? Our kitchens have ranged in price from $7k-50k + depending on size, materials and components. From the initial consolation our designers will work with you to design a kitchen that meets your budgetary needs. There's no point in us designing something that's either way over or way under your budget so its best to get the budget chat done first.

Can you project manage the whole kitchen project?

Absolutely - we can do as much or as little as you like. Our sister company Professional Installations can take care of all your plumbing, electrical, building, plastering, painting, tiling needs.. you name it!
